Fall has hit Hawaii, which means it’s the slow season for tourism, but the crime season is as hot as ever.
One of the world’s most famous diamonds is doing a world tour, and its next stop is Maui. But someone intends to make that its last stop when the diamond disappears from the resort where it was on display.
Charlie is immediately hired to find the thief—and the diamond—and quickly discovers that the diamond is supposedly cursed, and anyone who desires it too badly is in danger. Of course, Charlie doesn’t believe in curses, but bodies soon start falling faster than an overripe coconut on the tree.
Charlie can’t help but start to wonder: will she find the thief and bring the diamond back to safety, or is she about to become the curse’s next victim?

Little disappointed
Charlie’s only skill as a P.I. is picking locks. Why is she not learning any self defense or judo or even basic protection. She’s not growing as a P.I. at all. So great plots work but I want a compotent “star” not a lucky one with friends the only thing saving her.

âNever have I everâ said this about a book!But I really like rollicking Charlie Gibson and Dot and Rosie, her team.This book has a clearer plot line than most of the others in this series, which helps.I would like more Zoe and less Rosie as a babysitter, a deus ex machina. However, Rosieâs skills are a superb asset to Charlie.Mainly, these are mind-Coca Cola, my last vice, âCocola.â Not far down the list of potential new vices is this Hawaiian mystery series.When planes start flying safely again, Iâm going to Hawaii and at some point, scope out places mentioned in the books, unless they burned in the Maui fire or their names are changed.Now, this trip is number one on my bucket list!

I couldn’t read it fast enough. I wish the books were longer, but I still loved it. Charlie is a great character, always funny and relatable. Overall, a good addition to the series and I can’t wait for the next one!

Exciting Mystery !
Resort Robbery is the 13th book in the Charlotte Gibson series.I love this series so much! Things have been a little quiet for PI Charlie.One of the world’s largest and most famous diamonds is making a stop in Maui and there is a theft.Charlie is hired by the owner to find it and her friends Dot and Rosie help out.Her boyfriend Jake is also working hard to find the diamond.There are quite a few twists and surprises.This was such a great mystery, had me guessing the entire time.Highly recommend!

What happened?
The last few books have left me disappointed. The plot on this one felt “weak”. Not as much action or trouble Charlie gets into… The lack of some of the characters that have made the serious great in the past., were definitely missed! Yes, its the Charlie Gibson mysteries but I’ve always found the books so much better with more Jake, Zoe, Rose, Dot and who can forget Mom ð. Definitely not my favorite, fingers crossed the next book brings back the excitement that is the Charlie Gibson mysteries!
